For the Dutch women, Rotterdam is about more than the result. It is a home World Championships and the last competition of Sanne Wevers, the 2016 Olympic beam champion, who has said this time her decision to retire is final.

Squad

  • Sanne Wevers – Olympic beam champion 2016
  • Naomi Visser
  • Vera van Pol
  • Sanna Veerman
  • Vera Ubbink
  • Floor Slooff – reserve

Wevers' farewell

Wevers is 35. She won Olympic beam gold in Rio, world beam silver in 2015 and European beam titles in 2018 and 2023. She did not compete in 2025, returned in 2026 to win the Dutch beam title, and was named to the Worlds team on 6 October. Her beam routine will be one of the emotional moments of the week in Ahoy.

The team

Naomi Visser is one of the Netherlands' most experienced all-arounders. At the 2026 European Championships the Dutch team finished sixth. A top-eight place in qualification, and a team final at home, would be a strong result.

Schedule

The Netherlands compete in the seventh subdivision at 16:00 on Monday 19 October, alongside Great Britain.
