The women's team final at the World Championships in Rotterdam starts at 19:30 local time on Wednesday 21 October. Eight teams compete for the world title and for the first three women's team places at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.

Where each team is strongest
- Balance beam: China's 43.966 was the best apparatus total of the women's qualification, led by Zhang Qingying's 15.100 and Qiu Qiyuan's 14.966. - Vault: the United States had the best vault total, 42.133. - Uneven bars: WG2 led with 42.499, ahead of Italy on 42.332. - Floor: Canada had the best floor total, 40.099.
China's lead over the United States in qualification, 0.467, was smaller than their beam advantage alone. The Americans were better on vault, bars and floor.
The US streak
The United States have won every world women's team title since 2011, seven in a row. They come into the final without Hezly Rivera, who withdrew with an ankle injury, and with Skye Blakely as the only member who has competed in a world team final.
Format and LA28
Three gymnasts compete on each apparatus and all three scores count, so one fall cannot be dropped. The three highest-ranked eligible nations earn a team place of five gymnasts for Los Angeles 2028. As in the men's final, whether WG2 counts as an eligible nation is subject to confirmation by World Gymnastics and the IOC.
On Tuesday, Japan won the men's final and both Japan and China secured LA28 places. Read the men's team final report. Women's qualification results are on our qualification page.
