Manila Esposito is the leading all-arounder of the strongest Italian women's generation in decades. She won Olympic team silver in Paris, Italy's best women's team result since 1928, and leads Italy in Rotterdam.
European champion
Esposito won the European all-around title in 2024 in Rimini, along with team, balance beam and floor gold. She retained the all-around title in Leipzig in 2025, again with team gold, plus floor silver and mixed team bronze. Two consecutive European all-around titles make her the most consistent all-arounder in Europe of this cycle.
Paris 2024
In Paris Esposito won team silver and balance beam bronze, behind team-mate Alice D'Amato in gold. She finished 14th in the all-around.
2026 season
At the 2026 European Championships in Zagreb, Esposito won the floor title and beam silver. Italy took team silver behind Russia. She has not yet won an individual medal at a World Championships, and that is the gap she will try to close in Rotterdam.
Rotterdam 2026
Italy's women compete in qualification in the third subdivision on Sunday 18 October. For Italy, the team final carries Olympic stakes: a top-three finish among eligible nations would book a place at LA28. Individually, Esposito's best chances are on beam and floor and in the all-around.
