I think I managed to clear away any distracting or unhelpful thoughts. Today, I really hit my stride and fulfilled my role within the team. I’m quite happy about that.”
“I kept my faith in my own training level,” she added.
Despite some challenges leading up to the competition, Du maintained her optimism. “Before I went up, I just told myself to stay firm and focus on using my core strength. I didn’t overthink it.” she explained. “Honestly, I find it absolutely, completely unbelievable,”
Du’s only struggle appeared to be in grasping the significance of her and her team’s achievement. “The moment we won, it felt just like a dream, and to be honest, I’d never even dreamed of winning a title like this. It was such an incredibly difficult journey, and this victory truly validates everything I’ve done and all the persistence I’ve shown.” she shared. “Whether we’re on the competition floor, or just in our daily lives, we are incredibly, deeply united,”
She emphasized that the unity among the team was a key element in their success. “We’re always completely open and honest with one another. If someone needs emotional support or feedback, we feel comfortable speaking up about it. That’s been crucial for us.” Du said. “I think I’ll just take it one step at a time,”
