After securing the gold medal in floor exercise at the World Championships held in Rotterdam on Saturday, Frederick Richard from the U.S. spoke about a mystical crystal ball that, alongside his own dedication, led him to triumph.
“There’s a special shop where someone told me I had a chance at winning gold if I just worked hard every day, and that’s what I did,” Richard shared regarding the magical orb he purchased from a store in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he also studied and competed at the University of Michigan. “But I can’t reveal where. It’s my secret and hopefully it gets me plenty more in the future.”
